For three months during the late 19th century, the Whitechapel area of London was enveloped in fear. During this period, a spate of murders known as the 'Whitechapel Murders' took place; five women were murdered and brutally mutilated by a killer who was never caught.
To this day, the identity of the killer remains a mystery, and well over a hundred theories exist today that attempt to lift the veil on the identity of one of history's most elusive murderers.
Your experience will start with convenient and comfortable climate-controlled coach travel from the centre of London. You will be welcomed aboard by your expert Ripper-ologist guide, who will set the scene as you head off through the East of London, passing numerous iconic locations on the way, many of which have a chilling past.
Upon arrival in Jack the Ripper country, you will be issued your headset, which features incredible live audio that dramatically adds to the chilling storytelling of this experience.
Visit the real-life murder locations with your expert tour guide, who will paint a picture of life in Victorian London during this period. Along the way, you hear the gruesome, horrific details behind the murders and how the killer mutilated his victims in trademark fashion.
You will also learn of clues left along the way. Join the investigation as you assess the evidence and try to decide for yourself - who was Jack the Ripper?
During the tour, you'll be treated to a taster of a very traditional English dish at one of London's oldest, most authentic 'chippies'. You'll also visit Spitalfields Market and see the Ten Bells pub, the rumoured hunting ground of Jack The Ripper.
Then it's back on board the coach, with a special section where you will assess the theories and enjoy a Q&A with your guide inside the warm and safe environment of your transfer back to central London.
The tour concludes outside of the Sherlock Holmes pub, which is located near Trafalgar Square.
