Warner Bros. Studio Tour London opened in 2012 and is the only location in the world where guests can visit the original sets, props and costumes that made the eight-movie series franchise come to life.

You will have plenty of time to experience all the highlights of the visit - including The Great Hall, Platform 9 3/4 including the Hogwarts Express, the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Wizarding Bank and many more.

DIVINATION, DESTINY AND DARK MAGIC

Join us in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with a brand new feature for 2024. Discover new filmmaking secrets and explore fan-favourite sets built by the original filmmakers, which are available at the Studio Tour for the first time!

During the special feature, you are invited to broaden your mind and cast yourself into the future as we showcase the noble art of divination. For the first time ever, the Divination classroom set will be on display at the Studio Tour, as seen when Harry, Ron and Hermione attend their first lesson with Professor Trelawney, allowing you to discover the details up close. Make sure to look out for the original Grim teacup!

During filmmaking, sets are often adapted to form new backdrops for different scenes. Following a few architectural changes, the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom set was transformed to become the Divination classroom. With a few adaptations, including the addition of foam beams, it was possible to give the space a whole new look on screen.

When designing the look and feel of the set, filmmakers started with the idea of a traditional tea shop, with students sitting in pairs at round tables surrounded by mismatched teacups stacked high around the set. From there, the room was draped in rich red fabric and decorated with jewel-toned velvet pouffes, numerous patterned rugs and Arabian-style lanterns, creating a classroom in which eccentric Professor Trelawney would feel at home.

A new section of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom can also be found at the Studio Tour during our Return to Azkaban Feature, complete with the Boggart wardrobe and sinister Boggart jack-in-the-box.

In 2022, the glass doors of Professor Sprout’s greenhouse opened for the very first time! The greenhouse is a fan-favourite set from the Harry Potter film series, where students were taught their Herbology lessons with Professor Pomona Sprout. Built by the original Harry Potter filmmakers, the greenhouse is home to many exotic and magical plants. Just like a Hogwarts student, you will be able to step into the greenhouse and stop to pull out a potted Mandrake as part of an interactive display.

The iconic Diagon Alley set constantly changed throughout the film series. Since its construction, walls have shifted, shop fronts have moved, and entire buildings have been carefully tweaked, leaning just slightly, to create the street seen in the films.

Many of the Diagon Alley set pieces were also re-dressed for use in the village of Hogsmeade for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Visitors to the Studio Tour can stroll along the wizarding shopping street, stopping to admire the beautifully crafted props in the shop windows.

Upon concluding your visit, take the train from Watford Junction back to Birmingham New Street.
