Paris may be the city of love, but London is the city couples come to when they really want to have a good time.
Of course, the perfect day (and night!) out looks a little different for every couple. Whether you like a classy afternoon of culture and conversation, or an all-night party in the edgiest venues, London has everything a couple in love could ask for. The city is beautiful, buzzing in all the right places, and has more public green space than any other capital in Europe.
If you’re hoping to spend some time together on your coming trip to London, check out our favourite ways to while away the hours with a significant other.
A picnic in Greenwich Park

Greenwich is beautiful, cultural and boiling over with history and heritage. Sitting in the park in front of the Queen’s House, sipping a glass of prosecco, it’s easy to imagine yourself following in the footsteps of the royalty of yesteryear. Treat yourself to a few nibbles from the Greenwich market before relaxing for a few hours in the park. Sit and the hillside and you’ll even get a stunning view over the river Thames and London.

A walk up Primrose Hill

Sometimes, all you need is a little time together. If you just want a low-key, romantic escape, a walk through Regent’s Park and up Primrose Hill is perfect for a warm afternoon. What else do you need except each other, after all.
A feast for two at Borough Market
Sometimes, the only thing you want to do together is eat. For the true foodies out there, the very best place to go will always be Borough Market. From exotic meats to hand-crafted spirits and beautiful, fresh fruits and veggies, you’ll find some of the city’s best artisan delicacies and street food all under one roof. If you need to walk off the extra calories, a long walk down the south bank is perfect for a romantic stroll.
A run around Kensington Gardens
Here’s one for the fitness couples out there. Kensington Gardens is the perfect location for an explore on foot. It has both carefully cultivated and wild landscapes for you to explore, and when you’re done you can stop for lunch in the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen over in Hyde Park.
A Soho bar crawl till the early hours

Soho has pretty much everything when it comes to nightlife. Chaotic clubs, trendy cocktail joints and posh hotel bars. For those looking to splash out on a crazy night on the town, there’s no better place to be. Arts Theatre Club, Garlic Bar, Crobar, the Duke of Wellington – there are simply too many fantastic dance floors to name them all in a single post. You’ll just have to experience it for yourselves!
An evening of board games in Waterloo

Leake street is one of London’s hidden gems. These disused railway arches and vaults used to be home to TFL’s maintenance crews, but now house some of London’s coolest bars and restaurants. One of which is Draughts – a board game cafe where you can play pretty much any game under the sun. Play a few rounds here before retiring next door for dinner and drinks. If you have time, you might even be able to catch a show at The Vaults – one of London’s underground performing arts venues.
