1) Death by Chocolate – London Dungeon – Until 12th April
If you want something a little different this Easter, put down the chocolate eggs and head for the London Dungeons. One of the most notorious poisoners in history, Miss Edmunds, has set up her sweet shop in the Dungeons and has filled it with stacks of jars of her “special” confectionary. Once you’ve escaped Miss Edmunds and her sweet treats, make your way around the Dungeon to watch 1000 years of the darker side of London come to life.

2) Kew Gardens – Until 12th April
London will be going Shaun the Sheep crazy over the next few months, with over 100 sculptures of the loveable character being place around the city, and nowhere more so than the Royal Botanical Gardens. Shaun and a host of his friends, including real life sheep, are taking over for 2 weeks with lots of exciting activities including group games and face painting. As well as this, the aptly named “From Bean to Chocolate Baa” workshops will show adults and children alike how our favourite Easter treats are made. Of course with the event what most people are looking forward to is the annual Easter egg hunt, which will be taking place on Sunday 5th April throughout the Gardens.

3) Hampton Court Palace – Until 6th April
This Easter, Hampton Court Palace celebrates 500 years of its rich history with dramatic displays and special entertainment. During the day experience dramatic re-enactments of historical scenes, live Tudor cookery, and much much more before The Party begins in the evening. Half a millennium of music and food are brought to you in a spectacular evening of entertainment culminating in a stunning sound and light show in the Palace’s Privy Gardens.

4) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – until June 2016
Running until June 2016, there’s arguably plenty of time to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, but what better time than Easter. Chocolate and sweets aplenty, watch Roald Dahl’s eccentric chocolatier come to life in this vibrant and award winning musical.

5) ZSL – Until 13th April
Nothing says spring time like saying hello to creatures great and small, and where better than the world famous ZSL London Zoo. A perfect day out for children, you’re sure to spot your favourite animal in amongst the 760 species kept at the zoo. What’s more, over the Easter Holidays, along with their usual talks and shows, ZSL London will be celebrating the wonderful world of Madagascar in honour of their new Lemur Walkthrough, In With The Lemurs.
