What to do in London for May Bank Holiday Weekend

The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and London is buzzing in the run-up to summer, making it no better time to visit.

Once you arrive in this incredible city, we have some great suggestions of things for you to do, to ensure that you make the most of the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Our first suggestion for the music lovers amongst you is the iconic Soho. Home to a universe of record stores and music shops tucked in-between restaurants, clubs and recording studios that have produced some of the greats. Soho and music have gone together for years, walking the same streets as the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Sex Pistols and The Who.

Then visit the beautiful Southbank, right on the River Thames, which is known for its culture and is rich with street performers, a book market and, of course, its Spanish Festival. See breathtaking views of London from the London Eye, or for a chilling experience, pay a visit to The London Dungeon. There is also a fish and chip store close by, just in case you get hungry.

The best way to see the highlights, though, is by hopping on one of our London tours with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who can really bring the history of London to life whilst travelling in an air-conditioned coach with free Wi-Fi. This enables you to see everything you want to see in comfort and ease.

Some of our more popular tours include visiting the Tower of London, once home to royalty and renegades alike. St Paul’s Cathedral, One of the most protected buildings in World War 2, and of course, visiting the world-famous Buckingham Palace to see The Changing of the Guards.

Beyond the capital

If you would like to enjoy the sunshine away from London, though, why not head out of town and experience one of our Day Tours From London. Visit Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford, Cambridge, Leeds, Windsor Castle and many more of one of our popular day tours. Get to see some of the most awe-inspiring scenery at any one of these locations, with a wide selection of historical landmarks at each destination.

Whatever you decide to do over the May Bank Holiday weekend, we hope that it is both a memorable and enjoyable experience.
