This UNESCO World Heritage site includes several historic buildings, such as the Royal Naval College. This stunning building, the centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, was designed by London's most famous and prolific architect, Sir Christopher Wren in the 17th century. As we pass through historic Greenwich on our way to our first destination, you will have plenty of time to stop and take those essential holiday snaps.
Our next stop is Leeds Castle, often referred to as 'the loveliest castle in the world'. This beautiful castle, set in 500 acres of landscaped parkland, was once a palace owned by Henry VIII and has been the private property of no fewer than six of England's medieval queens.
You'll have to explore the castle grounds before the doors open to the public, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the serene beauty of this unique castle. Wander through the castle gardens and get lost in the castle maze, before returning to the world through an underground grotto.
From medieval cobbled streets to ancient Roman walls, the cathedral city of Canterbury is steeped in history. It is also home to one of Britain's best traditional Christmas markets.
