The capital of the UK is also one of the most famous cities in the world. Historically, it was the centre of the largest empire the world has ever seen. Today, it\u2019s one of the world\u2019s most popular tourist destinations<\/a>, a leading financial hub and a global city. It\u2019s also one of the world\u2019s most diverse cities, home to over 9 million people and more than 250 languages<\/a>. London\u2019s significance on the world map is undisputed, so much so that it\u2019s hard to imagine it not being the UK\u2019s capital.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
