As you walk along the tree-lined path, you\u2019ll pass swans, rowers and charming vine-covered walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you approach the halfway mark, you\u2019ll get a stunning view of Seething Wells, a former water treatment works that looks prettier than it sounds. Well, we can\u2019t offer you a tropical retreat, but we can offer something unique and undeniably peaceful on the Thames near Twickenham. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/things-to-do\/so-youve-never-been-to-eel-pie-island\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eel Pie Island<\/a> doesn\u2019t attract hordes of visitors, and it\u2019s only reachable by a footbridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That means there are no vehicles to contend with as you roam its beautiful streets.
